As indicated earlier our Booster Club serves many roles for our athletics. Traditionally they help with team activities and fundraising, but they also serve as the athletic director advisory committee. This board helps in directing our athletic programs and helps set direction and policy before it moves to the district school board. They also serve as an accountability piece to the athletic director to make sure policies and procedures are being followed and considered. Through utilizing this group in this capacity, I am tasked with attending all club meetings and have a portion set aside for open questions about what we are doing within the athletic department. Often times many good opinions are shared and then I am able to work with the advisory board to come up with new programs and initiatives to better the service of our community and the students we serve. I also have the advisory board fill out a performance survey on the job I am doing and areas in which I may improve. They are also included on hiring committees for coaching vacancies within our district.
