I am Richard Jacoby, currently in my 20th year of education in the State of Colorado. I have enjoyed every single year working, shaping and guiding students 9-12 in rural, Colorado. I received my Bachelors in Agriculture Education at Colorado State University in May of 2000. For 19 years, I was blessed to teach Agriculture Education with subjects anywhere from Agricultural Leadership, Agriculture Business and Marketing, Animal Sciences, Crop Production, Horticulture, Construction Trades, Mechanics, Vet Science to Welding. Also serving as the Advisor for students in FFA, this included mentoring, advising, counseling and often parenting the students in which I called “My Kids”. In these 20 years, I have also coached Football, Wrestling, Baseball, Basketball and Track. That has lead me to this year where I have moved into administration and have become the district Athletic Director. With this new challenge - which I love - I decided to pursue my masters and principal's license to better lead change and a positive approach to our district.  As with any new task, I am quickly learning the pitfalls of administrative duties and have realized you can teach an old dog new tricks, as my days are now filled with brand new trials and tribulations, some major and some minor.

I am devoted to my faith and family and can think of nothing better on earth than spending time with each. In my down time, I love the outdoors and enjoying my beautiful home state of Colorado where I can be found fishing, hiking, doing home improvements, raising animals and coaching our youth to reach their maximum potential.
